Glocks carried for personal security professionals

Dontcha know, we the people means we the profits? šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£
The Glock marketing strategy was to get LE to adopt Glocks, so the civilian market would want them, and that's where the money is. They were positioned with a reliable gun at a low price right when the tidal wave of LE wanting a high cap semi auto was happening. Their marketing strategy was brilliant. It is a good reliable firearm that was cheap to buy in quantity and it became an institution in itself.

I’ve owned more than a few Glocks. Not one failed to go bang ever. Whether 1000+ rounds or just a couple hundred before I moved it on. While I did replace the sights on a few (mainly to add black sights to see MOS optic dots better), the triggers on all worked just fine. I would have zero qualms running a Glock for a security detail.

If I still possessed any strikers, the majority would be Glock…and one Hellcat running a treaded barrel and compensator kit. But that’s water under the bridge.

There is a way to improve them

I thought it was because of Glocks other businesses dealing. šŸ˜† šŸ˜†

I'd put a Hi-Point up against a Glock any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Talk about a grossly overrated, overpriced hunk of junk. Just because some police agencies carry them, the average joe dumbass thinks the Glock is superior. Well, I suppose someone needs to gladly pay waaaayyyyy too much for a hunk of plastic.
Overpriced junk….I think not, while I don’t own any at this time, when I did they were the most reliable firearm I had, they always went bang as was stated by others, some don’t like the grip angle, which is fine, haven’t been much of a CZ fan, shot them, like them, but I will always choose a Glock, now I really do like my SigP320 M17 if I can’t/don’t have access to a Glock…

You know the other businesses venture of Glock?
Doesn’t matter they produce one of the finest polymer guns among others, your just stuck on CZ which is no problem, but to get on here and talk down other guns does it make you feel better or what, you always had very good threads/posts that I enjoyed reading, until this one……I could say a bunch of stuff about CZ guns, but I’m not that way, you like CZ, we get that…..you used to come on here bragging about how much you liked XD pistols, which I had a few, got rid of all of mine, you also said how much better they were to Glock, wrong there, but that’s your opinion, which we all have opinions on guns, no biggie

I used to be a Glock fanboy . Yes I used to belong to GlockIQ and made perfection in that forum (still a member of GSSF for a year). Till I realized that they aren’t the what the whole hype is.

Yes I have 5 XDm’s (which is in rotation for a range session). Yes I am starting to get more CZ’s at the moment. But when comes to Glock it’s just the same pistol over different generations and calibers. Honestly that’s why I never turned in my perfection letter and honestly shredded it in the last month.

Agree, same pistol over and over, but you have to admit, they work and feed everything, I will throw this in, I really like Taurus GX4 pistols, I get flak all the time, but like Glock, mine all function great, no issues, so let the flak begin

Not really, other than the horses and stuff, allegations of being a Nazi sympathizer (debunked), violating RICO (charges dropped), curtain rods? Shrug. Do you own any Holosun optics (or other products built in China) and want to discuss money flowing to CCP (Chinese Communist Party)?

Actually just kidding as I think most are aware that most companies have skeletons…you know like Springfield being Anti 2A? Or disgruntled employees (or ex wives) that like to create drama… But really, if there’s no prosecution, WITH conviction, was there an issue to begin with (and I’m talking hard evidence, not the ā€œthey said this, you said thatā€ type of cases).

While I no longer have Glocks (no more strikers for me), and I do have a CZ, far as I’m concerned if a firearms manufacturer is permitted to sell in the US, they’ve met the goalpost requirements.

Oh yeah…Sig šŸ˜€ā€¦

I know about SA and what I remember (Illinois resident) that the state proposed one thing and gutted it for an anti 2A bill (which happens a lot in my state).

I do agree there’s to many ā€œmade in chinaā€ in this country. Personally I’d like to see more ā€œmade in the USAā€.

As a person that comes from a restrictive state. I think the 2A laws of ā€œcommon senseā€ is the total BS because criminals don’t care. We have a criminal problem not a gun problem.
