good day at the range

not just "a good day at the range", but for me a GREAT DAY

had a blast with my Sig STX 1911, and 50 rds of my reloads, and 50 rds of Federal, all 230 ball.

which by the way, it is a Series 80 1911........like my Kimber was...but do i really care...??? HELL NO

first target frankly i did good, but the second target, was GREAT....

8 yds, 2nd target, Federal ammo, 2 high shots, the rest all closer

No snow shoveling allowed on your birthday. Call the kids. You have naps to attend to !

That is some great shooting. I enjoy my Sig 1911. I'm gonna practice until my target looks like yours. I know you're feeling like Hercules right now, but let the kids deal with the snow. Save your strength to make more targets like that! :)👍

Went to the indoor range yesterday reading your posts. Got the itch. Apparently I get the itch weekly 😆

sighted in a suppressed SBR with some heavier grain ammo. Need that perfect combo for grain - sbr barrel length - suppressor .
Tried 6 diff ammo brands/grain

found 75-77grain was what my gun liked the best. 25 yrd. I want to be low

(I’m not the steadiest hand, so I consider 1-2” spread on rifles a win for me)View attachment 19973View attachment 19974
I think ya' done kilt 'em!

Hi,

Went to the range with @SimonRL
We broke out the long rifles to shoot.
I brought an HK G36 and 416 in .22 and he brought a Zombie Apocolypse suppressed lever action .357.
That lever gun with .38specials is like a church fart and is accurate.

Oh yeah! Fun stuff! The shell holders on the lever look way cool. Couple of great looking rifles there. Nice job on the target.

I've been lever shopping. Still saving gig money, trying to get enough for a walnut Henry in .357. But the Rossi R92 is tempting as well. We'll see. Thanks for sharing your fun.

I also have the Henry with the brass side gate, the walnut stock and 20in octagonal barrel. It’s a fantastic looking gun and very accurate.
