I have both the oil and the grease. I like the oil because it comes in a needle oiler. The grease comes in this tiny little jar. If I used it how the guy in the video does up there I would need about 6 jars per lube.

I've been using Slip 2000 EWL on all my firearms for about 5 years now with no complaints. I don't use grease very often but have had good luck with Battle Born Grease. I must admit that I don't put a lot of rounds through my firearms at any one time but I do shoot 3 or 4 times a week. My range is closer than my mailbox.

I have tried Weaponshield, Froglube, but I always go back to Lucas Oil Extreme CLP and there oil

I tried, probably more accurately misused, Wilson Combat Oil, Universal and Grease.... ....some of those are not even intended for pistols.... ....I'm moving back toward the Lucas Gun Oil... Still using WC Oil on the pistol barrels and barrel bushings...
hmmm, in most cases, no... ...but, most quality firearms, the type and quality of lubrication is not that critical, just as long as it has some lubrication.... ...then yes, I'll agree with your point... i.e. a good pistol will run just as well, with the finest and worst oil, as long as it applied properly...
The guy that posted a pic of a can of Crisco Lard, I almost quoted it and challenge someone to try it, would you be surprised a good quality pistol lubed with Crisco Lard ran all day at the range just fine? I wouldn't.....

I agree, I have bought the fancy named and high priced stuff and it don't work any better than mobil 1. Some of that crap stinks to high heaven. i got a free bottle of an oil with a gun purchase a while back. stuff was called green something. can't remember the name. anyway that stuff smelled so bad it was really rank. i can't imagine putting that on a gun and bringing it in the house. i've had others that smelled bad, just not that bad. lol

Ditto, I’ve tried different oils from different brands but consistently end up back using Hoppe’s Black for me as far as oil and as mentioned before Mobile 1 gun grease that comes in a syringe.
My grease usage is very minimal.

For now I am going to stick with CLP. The jury duty thing paid a whopping $18/day. When I get my check I think I'll buy some Slip 2000 EWL.Gross. I don’t even cook with that.

i have the Slip 2000 EWG, and thus far, the one and only gun that gets that is the Sig STX 1911, as Sig is the only 1911 thus far, that wants grease rather than oil for the rails.
i also have this in a syringe for the door hinges in my car, that can work just as well for guns

I have a box or two of products I've tried over the years. My go to is G96 in a spray can. I do have a small container of red grease (brand?) I bought from a bullet caster and competitor.

Clean the weapon with basic Hoppes bore cleaner, run parts through a ultrasonic cleaner, then a once over with the Lucas Extreme Duty CLP, then finish off with the Lucas Extreme Duty Gun Oil.

That’s a great story, thanks for sharing. Bruce was a huge hero of mine when I was a teenager In the 70s. I was taking karate at the local dojo and got a talking to from some jumped up brown belt for wearing a Bruce Lee t-shirt, said it was disrespectful to Sensei. Sensei, who was Japanese, got wind of this and lectured the guy on proper respectful behavior in front of the whole dojo. Turns out Sensei knew Bruce Lee.
