Parts of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and S Cal used to use evaporative cooling, which during the lower humidity days would work especially well!

Still use evaporative cooling in southern Colorado... works just fine unless you want to live in a refrigerator...

Yes. Back to swimming a lot, cutting weight, eating more plants less meat. Plenty of rounds, archery stuff, sharp skinning knife, ready to gather up the nephew and niece. Folks done messed our world up good. Got to be ready to sort it for my people if things get kinetic or resources scarce

Its dry enough on the rugged tree less area.
Got a small AC in the bedroom but every where else get the swamp cooler.

I reload, but the price of FMJ practice ammo is cheaper than 5he cost of bullets, primers and powder. Save my brass for the fancy bullets. Now on the lookout for a goid price on decent practice stuff.

Nothing changed in my life, except I'm losing more money, I have to wait longer for my VA benefits and the mail, I have to wait longer to find out what flu shot to get, price of flying to Hawaii has gone 50% and the commissary is starting to charge for paper bags.......other than **** flowing down hill toward me, nothing I can't shovel out.

I am 100% IE. the American Legion got me to 30%, then quit. Got an enrolled agent, who was willing to fight for me. His take was 20% of the back pay. I would rather have 80% of something than 100% of nothing!

With the current climate it's shorts & T-shirts during the warm months, then switch to pants when it chills up.

What happens in other countries isn't worth my time, unless they're trying to mess with the USA.

I haven't been here for 4~ months. My life has changed but not due to current (4 months ago) events.

I had a reaction to some of my meds that affected my cognitive abilities and I had to put the guns up. My life locked them in the safe and I couldn't remember the combination so we were good.

So I'm not sure world events changed our lives or we changed our lives because all the appointments we made before we moved passed but we don't have any reason to, I was going to say go to town but really we don't much leave the property anymore. We had one appointment in Hooterville this month and one more at the end of the month and I'm pretty sure nothing in September. So no reason to go to town.

There's one road that goes where we live and 2 people per square mile. I don't know exactly how to say it but it's not quiet out here it's STILL. I don't see a sleeper cell coming here.
