The point of my original post was not to compare guns and knifes. It was to point out that it does not take a large group of people to create havoc.terriorists do not square off to fight.They come by surprise as we saw in Isreal and New York last week. When a young man was out of no where was stabbed to death.If you have a mini gun and someone walks past you and shoves a knife in your back.your just as dead
You should think of moving to a different neighborhood.

I feel I am pretty well prepared. I carry and train with firearms, I train with knives and carry two, one for each hand. I carry a Black thorn walking stick and have trained in Irish stick fighting and cane fu. No need for you to make assumptions. But thank you for your concern, hopefully you train often
I still am not overly worried about terrorists in my locale. But, I am alert to my surroundings and those in it, constantly. If I slip up and get taken out by a 5 year old cartel assassin I will know I was wrong.

Oh please, that scare tactic that has been promoted by certain groups dating back to the racial strife of the 50’s and 60’s. The only thing difference over the years is the racial group they want to promote as rioters or terrorists.

Let me tell you that being an infantry man in full military gear patrolling the streets of your own country to prevent some jackass from blowing himself up in a children's playground or drive a truck filled with explosives into an elementary school is not something I will wish to any place in the world, yet I can tell you it exists and is a daily reality. The fact that the US has been exempt so far doesn't mean it will forever be.
Some of us have lived this reality firsthand and are able to recognize the patterns as they are identical, the excuses are also identical and unfortunately systematically proven to be naive and wrong. This is not "scare tactics", but a reality that you can scoff at as much as you want. You don't have to be scared, simply be prepared, able and helpful if the need arises.

I just wonder, who the heck do you think you are? Learn a little bit of history and you will now that the army has been patrolling Europeans streets for decades. I should get mad for your comments, but I've been taught never to shoot the ambulance.

Your photos were not taken in North America and please don't compare the U.S. to European or other countries. Can an attack happen in the U.S., absolutely, but it won't be in my neighborhood. It will be in one of the large cities.
As for my credentials to speak freely, it's called Amendment one to the U.S. Constitution which includes freedom of speech. A constitution I swore to support and defend when I enlisted in the military. I served from 1964 to 1970 which included one tour of duty in SEA, so get off your high horse.

Well, a one off probably would be. A coordinated attack involving thousands of people or tens of thousands of people who have been " In country" for years, with a larger objective than just abject terror, will have to take places other than big cities into consideration. Out here, we have all the guns.
While I don't see a terror attack happening in my neighborhood either I would never state flatly that it won't happen. Besides, what do you think the odds are of people in suburbia or like me, a little further out, just hiding in their homes while their friends, relatives and co-workers up in the cities are under attack ?
I think the day will come when the US is under some sort of siege. It seems like it's years out, maybe longer than any of us will live, but it will happen at some point in the future. And allowing millions of people to sneak across our border is the most shortsighted, ridiculous thing I can think of.
Again I will point out that I haven't seen anything in this thread that strikes me as paranoid. What I do see is a lot of realists who are used to preparing for situations the odds are heavily against them ever facing. There's no harm in being prepared. There could be devastating harm in not being prepared though.

So there is footage of large crowds of Muslims in the Sydney Opera House chanting " Gas the Jews". A soccer match in Ireland with large groups of Muslims waving Palestinian flags and chanting, rallies on the streets of London. The NY DNS held a rally yesterday in support of Palestine, which was roundly condemned, even by Hochul, AOC, Eric whatshisface and all the squad members except Tlaib and the other one from up nort. A liberal senator from somewhere called out the media in a tweet accusing them of sanitizing terrorists by not calling them terrorists, instead calling them Palestinian militants.
This is what happens when you have a democratic socialist leaning government that decides it's perfectly fine to start allowing large groups of people from countries that hate us and our way of life to immigrate here.
