all of the testing done by "the times" showed pressures well below the military upper limit of 4psi until they pulled out the 50 cal for testing. then the obvious happened... shooting a 50 barrett indoors blows the doors off the barn. i knew that was going to be the case because, well, it was in the ny times. the indoor range i go to has a backstop that can withstand 50 cal. i asked if anyone ever shot 50 cal there they said not a single person since they've been open.
yes, indoor shooting is louder and the concussion is greater so doubling up on ear pro and wearing muffs is strongly encouraged. but the article was just another attempt by the left leaning ny times to smear shooting.
