Is Everything You Know About .40 Wrong?

i am late to this party, but as retired leo i have carried the .40 s&w caliber since our transition from the s&w 686 back in the late 80's. we transitioned to glock's g 22, g23, and g27's. i am up in years now but still edc the g27 and shoot it well, regular range time is a joy with the .40's. i have a number of glocks various calibers, and several springfields in several calibers, among others. i know i sound like a glock guy, and probably am, as being a certified factory glock armorer and being my dept's armorer and range officer. however that being said i love the springfield armory, xd's and hellcats, and own a number of them.

Sure wish Springfield Armory had more offerings in pistols chambered in 40.

I agree. I settled with a Glock G23.5

I went with the G27 and G29 here and am waiting for the 40 or 10mm Echelon, The XD-M Elite is looking better and better every time I look at one.

cant go wrong with the xd's, i have a xd-m elite in .45
