That is probably true, BUT
"638 with bigger grips (Pachmayr compacs) because it fits my hand better than any of the many guns I've owned over a lifetime of shooting and carrying. Hits where I point it, point not aim."
I'll take what fits and hit where I point it over something I have to fiddle with every day of the week and twice on Sunday. YMMV and that's cool by me. All I ask is the same in return. Don't be telling me that I'm not serious, don't care about defending myself or loved ones, guaranteed to die, etc.

Yeah, sadly that one doesn't hold a candle to yours for looks. And no comp or port or whatever this week's terminology is for me. It would have to be identical. But I'm after more capacity within an 8" OAL limitation. The 627PC, 686+ and 629DLX being the S&W contenders and SRH Alaskan and GP100 being Ruger's entrants in the competition. Granted, the 629 and SRH technically aren't more capacity being six, like my SP101, but the size of the .44 offsets the same round count.

But if you're going to carry something that Size , and it's implied that you want .44 mag on purpose , commit to carrying a proper steel .44 mag , that's actually usable with " normal full power " ammo .

Only reason I even mentioned 329 is because he’s talking “pocket carry”🙄. I cannot conceive of pocket carrying any full weight full size revolver. 329 is light (‘course it kills on both ends but hey ya glottal pay to play). I’ve shot one with .44 Specials and have no desire to touch off a magnum in one😏
