Kuna Mags…interesting.

Well, just loading up to hit the range…and I thought this was interesting.
One with a broken piece, the other cracked… and it looks like out of my 6 total mags, one has a different design.
I’ll be calling SA Monday AM to see what they want to do about these two cracked/broken mags, if anything.

Thoughts I’d share. Each mag has loaded/used/unloaded 3-4 times roughly. Zero issues in use.
To add, about 700 to 800 through it total, zero failures of any kind.
The last 600 or so, Supressed.
I’m to run the cracked one in the middle today, just to see if any failures result, then I’ll put it away.

No sir! Not a single mag has been dropped once.

I number all my mags. The broken one is number 2, it came with the pistol.
The cracked is number 3, I can’t remember where I bought it. I bought 4 extra mags…as I found them in stock.
2 at a time, both different vendors.

I would definitely call them and show them those pics. they should send you new ones. that is a design flaw i think. Thet metal piece is supposed to keep pressure off the sides from being loaded. it failed. that one split at the seam where it was made. still a crappy made mag.

also if you look closely, the odd one you have is cracked at the seam also. i blew the pic up and you can see it plainly.

I sent them a note online, and I’m assuming their CS via phone is closed on the weekends.
I’ll try a call after I get back from the range, but most likely, this is a Monday AM phone call. Two came with the gun, the latest two came from Mag Shack.. and I’m trying to find where the I bought the first two…

Good eye.. but it’s the light/shadows. I just pulled it out of the bag, looked closely, and….tried to pull it apart. Doesn’t budge. It’s the lighting/dirt/shadows, but in that pic I sure agree, it does “look” cracked.

Glad i didn't buy more of them, i was going to get 4 more. i'll wait for the aftermarket one now. those mags are junk. . i haven't shot mine a lot so they are not cracked yet.

dont use the cracked one and see if SA wants it back for trade of a new one

Holy crap, i went and checked mine more closely and one of them is busted on the corner like yours. it has only been loaded one time.

I know you can stuff 31 rounds in these, despite being 30 rounders. I’ve overloaded mine by mistake.. that being said… I keep my HD mag loaded with 30 only. I’ll let you know what they say when I call in.
I have disassembled and cleaned all my mags once, they haven’t been abused, dropped, overloaded…

I shot mine only 50 rounds, one had 30 and the other 20.

Hopefully magpul will make some for them soon, this looks like bad plastics to me. even pro mag is better than this.

Disappointing... All the guntubers we're praising the polymer mags and affordability...lol.

I don't watch gun tubers, most of them won't tell the truth cause they want the free guns but they are not bad priced. think they will get it fixt. a new gun and design will most likely have flaws. seems like i seen a aftermarket mag a while back.

Most companies now contract out for the mags that they put in their pistols. Checkmate and Metalform are two companies that supplied Colt for years.

Both of mine are like the one you have that is different from the others.

Same, both of mine do not have the big U. I’ve got quite a few rounds through mine but no cracking or chipping luckily. Will definitely be watching though when i run it

Mine look like the 3 that are the same. No cracks. But I’ve probably only shot a couple hundred rounds. Not a lot of hard use yet. I’ll have to keep an eye on them.
