Great article on times past! I was privileged to have worked with one of the 'plank holders' of D-Platoon after he had retired and was with the district attorneys office in another state. His era was back when the SWAT team carried Winchester 30-30 for their long guns. He had many great stories to share and was a fine gentleman and a 'gentle giant' having taken years of successive awards for bench press and dead lift in the Police Olympics.
