OMG I Started A Fight

I don't always follow the rules myself. If they think I am going to spend the night in a motel and not have my weapon with me they are crazy!! The area I am in kind of dictates if I use your "can't see it" method at gas stops or food stops. After all, I would rather be breathing to go to jail because I defended myself than not be breathing. Sounds like we are in agreement!

I’m far enough away from Chicago “but” close enough to say I won’t “FA” to “FO”. I know one college town here in Illinois that is going to the rats and I haven’t really gone through it like I used too. Personally I try to stay rural Illinois because it’s not like the bigger towns in Illinois and we all bitch about Chicago. I’ll even admit this, I refuse to go to Indiana for anything because of Chicago and its burbs. I used to go to Joliet for work and I grinned my teeth when I got off the clock.

Joliet sounds alot like Gary! LOL The kid graduated in Champaign-Urbana a couple years ago but is doing masters program at a rural college in far western IL. I feel alot less need to carry where she is now.

Pretty much. I honestly don’t like Chicago stuff anymore since I don’t have family out there anymore and moved to LaSalle county. It’s different here but kinda wish went a little more rural.

O-My-Glob, I have "duty" ammo that is probably pushing 30.

I have shot mil surp ammo that is/was 40-50 years old.

To each their own but for my primary duty carry, i only swap it out if the range master makes me.

My other carry guns get my old, extra duty ammo.

You beat me to it. I have my license to carry (Concealed Carry Permit as named in Indiana) as a resident of Indiana. I have been carrying in the vehicle in Illinois the past few years while my daughter is a college student over there (otherwise I would stay away from IL) and was going to let him know. The key is, do not take the weapon out of the car if you stop for gas, to eat, or a rest break.
Ok, now its confusing ….

As far as I know, there wasn't a 6095 MOS, and after say, 2000, 6094 was a DEAD MOS, it transitioned to 6064. But as I was originally a 94, hence my handle.........

Ain't say'n 6095 didn't/doesn't exist, but the 94 dam sure did......

Wre you a Line Shack Bubba, or a strict Airframer?

#€ll, we might know some of the same people....
I was strictly an airframer but was part of the engine change team if we lost an engine away from base. Home base was MCAS Cherry Point and I was with VMA-542. When we did lose an engine I helped both hydraulics shop and powerline do their part as well. It was normally just an 8 to 10 man team that they sent out. Still know nothing about hydraulics just did what they told me to do.
I looked up 314. Not sure when you were in so were they at Miramar or El Toro? I spent my first couple months out of boot camp at El Toro working for H&MS-11 (I think that is right) at El Toro in the Corrosion Control department waiting for my school to open up in Millington.
