ANOTHER LGS score today! Been looking for one of these for years! It's on its way to my LGS in MA from my other LGS in NH as we speak. Can't WAIT to get it to the range. A 2005 1911-A1 Trophy...

Just got it today, xferred in from my out-of-stste LGS. Can't wait to get it to the range this weekend! Updated pictures...

Not a Springfield, but for $200 including a fresh box of hollow points, I couldn't resist. This 1981 Llama .380. Took it to the range today and put a couple hundred rounds through it and it functioned perfectly! Cleaning it now. Disassembles exactly like a 1911.

Crazy question on the big beast... any advice for getting a durable but bright mirror-shine (like, bright enough to use as a shaving mirror) finish?

Im assuming for a stainless steel model?

Unfortunately, that 7" monster is all carbon steel on the frame and slide. So stuff like hard-chrome and similar coatings.

Robar used used to the place to go, but they went belly up some time ago.

I'm sure there are others, but they were the best.

Wright's Armory had a big rep for it here in the PNW (taking your parts and forwarding 'em to Barrkman's other firm CTL in part of a bulk order, then doing whatever needed on return) but now they only offer something called NT7 and it's matte-only.
