Show off your 1911

Isn't it great to be in America, where there are so many options available? I do love my 1911 45acp handguns, they are my absolute favorites. There are those who are of the opinion that the two "Operator" model 1911's I own are perhaps sub par, un pure if you will, because one has a Bull barrel with no bushing and because both have Ambi thumb safeties.
While I respect the adherence to the original design, I doubt any of those folks apply that line of thinking to their everyday lives.
As for the Staccato handguns, the two models that I have are purpose built for range and competition use.

Folks need to understand that eveyone has an opinion, and dont get upset.

You have fantastic firearms. Just dont strike the cord for everyone. 🙂
 
There is such great knowledge and experience here at TAL, from flint lock to full auto. I am happy to have a drink and conversation with any of my TAL brothers and sisters. I have not been here long, but have picked up much wisdom and realized just how small the world I live in is. While I agree with some and disagree with others from topic to topic, I am treated with nothing but respect. It is very refreshing when compared to everyday local interactions here in N.E. FLA.

I thought Marines had stopped using 1911's but I just saw this while reading the news. Glad to see it's STILL in service, however limited that may be.
