Springfield Kuna Review — A Roller-Delayed 9mm

I’m with you on that same thought. In addition to every firearm manufacture and aftermarket company will be will be in competition for our $$$. I feel it will spur the growth of even more advanced 3D printed, super lightweight, sub 100 dB, full flow through suppressors.

Other way around .

The USA suppressor marketplace is already skewed compared to the rest of the world where suppressor are unregulated/ lightly regulated .

The marketing pitch of the suppressor industry in USA runs along the lines of :

Since it is such a major hassle and time waster to purchase one , you might as well the latest greatest super duper , made exotic expensive materials . Because buy is such a hassle , you wouldn't want to ever do it twice .

Elsewhere, they are mass produced and affordable. if you actually wore out your Supressor in New Zealand or wherever, you would throw it away , and spend $99 ‐ $199 on the replacement.

So If / When Supressor becomes as easy to buy as a shotgun, for the first year , prices will skyrocket from demand . But within 5 years there will be a successful new market segment turning out basic supressors for same price range of leather holsters .

My first post, probably in the wrong place, but I've been reading about this Kuna and got the bug! It's also how I found this forum! I finally found one on Gunprime @ $999, not the best deal but I got one, I think. I'll be buying the brace after I receive it, then I'll be looking for a suppressor for my hearing aids.

A good day, found a Kuna and this forum, looking forward to leaning into both.

Well, you have a new problem. Ammo. LOL.
You’re gonna run through it even quicker now…

Look up the Matata loader, I got one, got it quick, and it works awesome. Thumb saver for sure.
I picked up a Rugged Obsidian 9 for mine, very happy with it.
I’ve been on the right ammo quest since..and I can tell you, despite some saying “Just get 147 grain and it’ll be subsonic”…that’s simply NOT the case.

My favorite target/range ammo so far is 150gr Federal Syntec and Oak Island 124 grain (yes, 124) and Oak Island 147 reloads.
I can tell you, for me… I bought Federal American Eagle 147 based on the “it should be subsonic” and I can assure you…it’s not..LOL.

Good luck, have fun.

I have an auto loader for my H&K VP9 mags, I wonder if that will help with the Kuna mag, need to try that.

As to ammo, I have 9mm, 115 grain, Fiocchi Range Dynamics FMJ I run for my H&K and S&W 9's, are you suggesting the Kuna requires more powder?

A website was just running a decent deal on Fiocchi. Ammoseek is our friend

He’s suggesting you’re going to want to shoot it a lot, so be prepared to buy a bunch of ammo. The Kuna seems to be very reliable with whatever ammo you shoot through it. Enjoy!!

LOL… no, sorry.. My point was, it’s so damn fun to shoot, you’ll be boing through more ammo. It’s eaten everything I’ve thrown at it. But I have yet to throw 115 through it.
Ammoseek is absolutely our friend… shop with free or CF (conditional free) shipping so you don’t pay 6 bucks for a box of ammo but $50 to ship it…
