Springfield Ronin 10mm failure to return to battery

I own a Springfield Armory Ronin 10mm. I bought a slip on over the barrel compensator that also replaces the bushing. It works, but after 4 rounds the slide fails to go into battery. Do I need to replace the recoil spring? Heavier or lighter?
Does Springfield offer a comped or ported barrel for the 10mm Ronin?

It didn’t. 3 rounds (minus the comp) and it would fail to go back into battery. Tap slap would fix the back to battery, but it would happen again. It was fixed and I’m not using the comp anymore.

I did send it to them and it was fixed. I still don’t know if a new recoil spring (heavier or lighter) will make the gun function.

If it fails to go completely into battery with no extraction or ejection issues, I would try about a 2 lb heavier recoil spring.

It looks like Springfield uses an 18.5 lb recoil spring for the 10mm.
(They have a heavier (30lb for Springfield 23 lb for Colt) hammer spring for ILS lock system than the Colt)

I would probably try the 20lb. Wolff or the 22 lb.

Colt uses a 23.5 lb recoil spring for the Delta Elite.
The colt Delta Elite Spring uses a smaller inside diameter too
(per Wolff Gun springs)

I don't think that Ronin's use an ILS MSH. At least my Ronin doesn't

I use a 20lb Wolff in my Kimber Rapide. There can also be a mag problem that affects it. My Kimber came with only one mag. I bought two Wilsons and ran into the same problem as the Kimber magazine. There's a little nub that suits no purpose on the follower. Like you there was failure to go into battery on more than one round out of a magazine. So that's why I got the heavier spring, it didn't fix it. What did fix it was grinding that little nub on the follower down so it was smooth. Now why this would affect the second through fifth round I don't know. I do know that it affected the last round every time. I think it affected the timing of the magazine in some factor one way or another. So if your magazine has a nub on the follower like this I suggest you grind it down to make it smooth. It 100% fixed my problems.

Yep, Run that 1911 wet! Be generous with the lube on the slide rails.

And on the barrel lugs. And the top of the barrel. And on the disconnector rail. And on the guide rod.

There are no modifications other than the barrel compensator. I have 5 magazines, all from Springfield. Ammo is standard load 180 gr 10mm from multiple manufacturers. I will say that I run the gun pretty wet, but how much is too much?
