that storm in 93 came through jax fl as a baby winter hurricane type event, blew out power
i was stationed ships company on USS Saratoga, winds blew so hard the she stretched out the power cables , and they broke or froze,,, and the gangway fell into the harbor
frid duty was stuck on board until sunday, as the yard birds couldnt get a crane on the pier from the winds...
i arrived sunday for duty to a dark COLD asssss ship and had to stand watch
power out at the house, momma and kid freezing it was the shiiiit show, WE were vastly unprepared at the naval station... every body just said oh a storm... is coming close a few doors

I remember that storm. I was in Marine Corps Security Forces at the time, stationed just a little north of you at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base at the time. A lot of the posts we had to man were outside. It was cold!

I don't reload, lost too much of my right side with the stroke.

I had two ischemic strokes in 2020 that took my Left side field of vision. They call it LHH (Left Homonymous Hemianopsia (LHH) is a neurological condition where a person loses the left half of the visual field in both eyes.
