One thing, that my wife showed me—she had the scans, and has photographic evidence that she does, in fact, have a brain.
She thought it was important to point this out to me.

Glad to hear that.
I just found out a minute ago what we thought were stys in my wife’s eye a few weeks ago, weren’t. Now she has sores on her head. Turns out it’s shingles.
As for what I’m doing right now. Nothing fun.

I've had shingles and they aren't fun. In the eye can be very dangerous. I hope your wife comes out of it with no problems.
I recommend anyone who has had Chickenpox get the vaccine. Also , even if you have had shingles once , you can get it again.

Several years ago wife had shingles in her mouth thanks to antibiotics was stopped before getting into her throat. She did experience a lot of pain.
