I bet some of the downeys are actually Hairies. They’re hard to tell apart unless they’re side by side. We get all those birds plus Pileated and red headed woodpeckers, blue jays, blue birds, chickadees the occasional Oriole, hummingbirds, flickers, mockingbirds and indigo buntings.

The ones ravaging your feeders like that are no doubt the starlings and the grackles.

Yes, the starlings, grackles, we get cowbirds too, those guys have insatiable appetites. We get a pair of Canadian geese stopping by once in a while. We've named them Lucy and Ricky. :LOL:

I just finished watching Chargers and Chiefs. Good game. I was sort of pulling for SD.

today was garbage day due to the monday holiday.

gotta put back the garbage cas, and wash, and deodorize them as well.

then off to get the newspaper, bank, (using the ATM), and then back home...gotta scrape part of a ceiling in 1 room, and see if the paint i got on hand will match, otherwise come monday, go and buy some.

gonna get humid as well, so not gonna do much else for today, except sitting down later.

Hello everyone,

It's good to see everyone up and about, taking care of business and various projects. You certainly are an industrious bunch. Not me, today anyway. Mrs. BassCliff and I both slept in until 8am. After breakfast she went over to the kids' house to help daughter with something. I'm going over tunes for the church music this weekend, rehearsal this afternoon, services this evening and tomorrow morning.

I've been reading the Fall 2025 issue of TAL magazine. I hope Doug Hamlin can really make the NRA transparent, efficient, and frugal. I also realize that I need a bolt action rifle and a double stacked 1911 for my one-of-each collection. Yeah, I know. That magazine is just one big advertisement for Springfield Armory (and other) products. It works. :ROFLMAO:

Congratulations to @Bassbob on your new ride. Very nice.
