What are you doing right now??

been there myself before i needed my back operation.
thursday of last week i had my 2nd appt with the same doc i had on that monday. he was way more informative than the rest have been in the last 20 years of my pain. after the appt on monday i had time to do an mri and ct and still make an appt of the same week being out of town (dfw area). he's trying to figure out if it's the nerve or the bone causing the pain, so i'll have facette injections and see what happens. if i get some relief or a lot then he knows it's the nerve and not bone related. it bone related he'll have another type of procedure for me to try. these might keep me from having the implant, but may require me to do these procedures twice/year? i also found out why some people only get 1 electrode/wire instead of the required 2 in the cervical area (not cervix). there's possibly not enough room for the 2 wires since the cervical area is smaller than the lumbar. not as room for margin of error.

on mine
they clearanced the vertebra passage to allow the nerves to stop TOUCHING ... healed up faster than the fusion or a new lord mount install.

i did the facet thing for years, loved the sleep from the meds,
finally gave in and did the surgery
sure hope they find a good solution for you.
back pain just flat sucks as it causes everything else to hurt etc

Taking in trash to dump. While gathering the trash with my 3rd oldest the little gray female (about 3 weeks old) that has had its eyes covered with matter most days i said to him, we'll name her gray matter. After stating that both of us got the reference from a cartoon he used to watch......Ben 10.

i had a bulging or herniated disc. my doctor removed the disc, and fused the bone...

that was my first operation in 1999.

my second operation, with another doctor, was the same, a herniated disc.

that disc was removed and i had yet another fusion.

i have rods from the L3 down to the S-2.

i can move, i can walk, i can do many things, just not as well if i was say my 20 year old self.

now i have arthritis in my left knee, already had the cyst drained, and an injection...and THAT is not working for me.

i see that doctor may 6th...

maybe another drain/injection, with maybe a stronger shot...??

i dunno

what i do know is i can walk, albeit slower, and climbing stairs, i must use BOTH hands on the hand rail, and in about 30 minutes, i am at the top of the stairs.

going down the stairs is much easier

i just fall down them

It's 4:39 and my Lab is insisting it is 5am. 20 minutes till breakfast, old girl!

Lowes run and lunch at Sonnys with the posse today. My social calendar is filling up.
It is rainy a bit but the toad strangler will arrive tomorrow. Had a great lunch with friends and some family, but on the way discovered I had a headlight and turn signal out. Stoped at the auto parts store and got new high intensity LED bulbs. Those things are expensive! You have to take the front grill off the 250 to get at the bulbs. That's all done and once again we can brave the dark of night. Ain't scared of no booger man now with those super high intensity LED lights and my .45, I tell you!

Glad to hear you're not having cervix trouble!

Hi,

I'd read that these were great knives for the money, made in France. So while I was waiting for my blades to be sharpened in the knife shop, I bought one. Not bad for less than $20.

It's a 3.5 inch utility, should be really handy in the tool box. I got Mrs. BassCliff a couple of presents too. She liked her champagne cork popper and juicer.

I guess we're going to the 6:15 showing so we'll have our fish fry before the movie. Us old folks don't mind eating early. ;) :p Blessings to all.

Thank you for your indulgence,

20+ years of this has been rough for sure! Doesn't make being married easy for sure! 2 in hs with 2 years until they graduate doesn’t help either. On top of that is the amount lost due to the fire from 2 years ago. I've been fortunate enough to have some income to keep me going for bills, food and medical stuff. Glad I don't have house payments, but dies need lots of repairs. I usually take care of all that, but pain keeps me from doing that.
