. But I have to put my house back in order...it looks like a construction zone in here still, and I didn't have the energy to do it last night after work.
We had new transom windows installed this week, The sun literally bakes the inside of the house in summer months, and there's a lot of glare from the west and the south. These windows are awesome! When you look out of them, it looks like you're seeing through polarized sunglasses. It wasn't as spendy as we thought, and it was worth it. It should keep the AC cost down.

It's kinda hard to tell today because it's overcast, but the one on the right is the old one (a suction cup let loose and they broke one and had to reorder it), and the one on the left is new. They really do make a difference in the sun.
We have also moved around 80 yards of soil into the yard (and we're not done yet) to level things out and fill in by the concrete. We planted and mulched the juniper bushes and Jacob's Ladder plants, but we have another ten or so bushes to plant further down.

So, it's slowly taking shape. The garden shed is next, and then the fire pit. No soil this weekend because it'll be too soft to move it, and we'll be out of town for the 4th next weekend. Man, Minnesota summers are way too short.![]()
