Talyn, the main issue is we got screwed and Cali wouldn't go to desalinization on a large scale giving all the CO waters to Nev and AZ. Now they are, but they may be too late.

Maybe AZ needs to cut a deal with Mexico to pipe water straight from the Gulf of CA and then you folks desalinate it, or partner with Mexico to desalinate the water right at the Gulf of CA then pipe it to AZ.

The CO water issue isn't going to get any better.

I see you folks have four large (The Lakes at Castle Rock etc.) residential subdivisions with private artificial lakes. I imagine the transpiration is off the scale considering your year-round environment, especially in the summer.

As you said before people are the problem.

Bodies of water don't concern me as much as people who don't think it through.

Tempe has a man-made lake, max depth about 10-12 feet. Sits in the river bed, and has a rubber bladder stretched across the bed, with many benefits to the public. Fire suppression using Air support, recreation income, paddle board, pedal boats, fishing etc.

Tucson could have the same thing, but here in Pima county, the only vision for the metro reporting area, approximately 1 million people, we don't know what we want to be, but we don't want to be like PHX and Maricopa county. Population of Phoenix area about 5 million folks, and lots of freeway access.
