FYI, Texas varies from 6.25% to 8.25% depending on location. State rate is 6.25%, local jurisdictions can add up to 2% more based on statutory limits (city, county, ESD, etc.).

when it came to no tax during back to school shopping it wasn't worth it even when buying for 6 kids spending over 2k! $165 on 2k$ and it was better to buy before as finding what you need easier

NC is 4.75 then most counties add about 2. My county goes hard with an extra .5 for roads or some stuff
