The sling pack would be as full as possible with ammo and mags.

Probably my G26 for concealment, and my Garrison in .45 on my hip, both of these ammo should be available, but of course I’ll have enough on me like Bob said in a sling pack.

My .357 and shotgun. Slugs can be used for defense and game. Birdshot for small game/birds
Be able to defend oneself and provide food

not a bad article indeed. Yes on the .308 - everystore and many many homes have one. pistols? well he DID give a caveat on the .454 if one has lots of rounds. Also - it can utilize 45LC +P which is a .44 mag power, and, also plain old 45LC which also is everywhere. He lost me on the 30.30 though. Not every store stocks that anymore and not in many choices or amounts. Kinda a "last of us" vibe here - so a .45ACP as well just to be sure.

One gun? 4”, full-size .357; of mine, either my 686 or 28-1…with my GP100 as a consolation prize.

Bottom feeder: USP 9mm.

Long gun? HK91/PTR91 (probably the more basic PTR without the heavy AF PSG1 stock).

Smith wesson 60 if only carrying one weapon.

Pistol, if i can have two handguns would be the P365XL, again very easily concealed and way more accurate than its size should be.

Add a long gun to the mix, Mossberg 500. 100 bandoleer and sling bag stuff with ammunition, mags etc.

Very likely in a real SHTF situation you'll be limited to one handgun and one long gun. Size and weight of both the guns and spare ammo will be important.
Handgun: Springfield SA-35. Accurate, reliable and ammo will be everywhere.
Rifle: Ruger 10-22 with 25 rd magazines. This will keep you fed and ward off the bad guys.

If you absolutely, positively had to boogie down Broadway in a complete societal collapse, what guns might you want to have along for the ride?

First off there is nothing in the hood i need. BUT if the trip was absolutely necessary then these would be what i would take.

I'd most likely just stick with my carry pistol, along with ample ammunition and magazines in the go bag. I'd complete my outfit with the Mossberg 88 SP, with an intriguing array of loads to handle any situation.

I don't understand what is being asked. What does "Boogieing down Broadway" mean?

Am I getting the hell out of Dodge or am I trying to sneak my way to Walmart to get whatever "supplies" may be left?

Even if it's not total societal collapse I think I've been through three ammo panics in my lifetime, or at least three since I've been a gun owner.

Like most of us here I learned my lesson well. If it's total societal collapse I'm not doing recreational shooting. I'm either defending my home or I'm hunting game.

Bottom line, I'm not shooting unless I need to. I'm pretty sure the amount of 9mm and .22 and 223 and self perpetuating herd of chickens we have on hand will be sufficient to that
