Would You Have Said Anything?

It's not illegal. If he seems approachable perhaps let him know his slip is showing as a courtesy, otherwise why bother. Let the situation dictate what you think is best.

As an aside, If someone comes out of the bathroom with TP stuck to their shoe, or theid fly is unzipped, do you say something, or let it ride?

If I felt compelled to do something I would notify the manager.

That DEFINITELY wasn't going to happen.

Just to clarify I walked past the guy in the aisle and I don't even know what caught my eye but I noticed the gun sticking out of his back pocket.

I noticed it. I questioned whether it was intentional. Then I decided it was none of my business and got on about my shopping.

As long as it took you to read that paragraph is about how long it took me to go through that thought process.

On the way home I decided it would make a good topic for discussion so I posted it.

Basically Walmartians doing Walmartians stuff!

My Grandma lived to be 99 and had all her teeth whem she died. Her secret…..she minded her own business

Seriously though as a trainer (and by trainer I’m a Rangemaster Advance Instructor, retired FLETC and Indjana LE Academy instructor and delt with inner city gamg bangers that told me all how they steal guns and have seen my share of crime first hand)

I see so many cringeworthy carry methods that I have aneurisms. And as much as I want to tell them how jacked up they are it really isn’t my business , and they don’t care they probably know everythjng and either they will figure it out or they will be a statistic.

I am over caring about what other people do just stay over thwre with the dumb stuff!
Well said

Update FWIW

I had to stop at that particular Walmart on the way home yesterday and I made a specific point of reading the signs on the front door. That particular Walmart, East End of Woodmen Road in Falcon Colorado, is Not posted against Open Carry.

Open Carry is legal in El Paso County Colorado.

This happened in the Walmart in Falcon. If it happened in the Big R in Peyton I wouldn't have given it a second thought.

Man in his Sixties, dressed a rancher the tail of his shirt hung up on a revolver.

That Walmart is the only one in Eastern El Paso County. A lot of Farmers and Ranchers come to that Walmart..

A lot of the folks that live in eastern El Paso County don't have permits. They all but cover their firearm so just enough of it is exposed that they're "Open Carrying".

If I had done anything I would have just said hey your shirt's hung up by your back pocket.

I considered it for a minute and decided to mind my business.
Not your business. I wouldn't have said anything.

No. That is not my job but the store managers. If I felt compelled to do something I would notify the manager.
Why? They aren't breaking the law or bothering anyone. Walmart has greeters at the door, employees all around, and a billion of cameras. Security seen the guy the second he got out of the car, as he walked into the store, and as he walked around the store. I personally wouldn't ever be compelled to say anything at all.

I do have to say this in response to your post.

The way the guy's shirt was draped it was entirely possible that he had pulled something out of his pocket or took his phone off a belt carrier and got his shirt hung up on the gun and may very well have been completely unaware that his gun was exposed.

In that case security did not see that guy from the second he got out of his car.

And, speaking as a "Retired Career Security Guard" I've worked with guys that wouldn't have noticed that man if he'd walked in with a full LBE and an M16 swung over his shoulder

That's a possibility. That's also his responsibility. I EDC at work and other no gun places. I take extra care to make sure I remain concealed in those instances.

Yea, I could see that happening and being the case at some places, but not at Walmart, lol.

Now that I think about it. I changed my mind. If it was a nice 1911, CZ, Beretta, HK, revolver, or the like, I wouldn't have said anything. If it was a Gen 1 M&P, Glock, Hi Point, Taurus, or the like, I would have notified him immediately to help save him the embarrassment. If it was a Sig P320, I would have pulled the firearm alarm so that everyone could exit safely.

Occasionally we agree.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I should have never let that happen. I need to do better. 😬 I changed my answer (see above).

I don't see myself being compelled either which is why No was the lead.

My great grandma made it to 113 according to the family Bible. When I got to go spend some time with her at 9 pm she would go out on the porch and sit in her rocking chair load her corncob pipe then reach in her apron pocket and pull out her pint bottle of whiskey. She would tell me it was nature's medicine. 🥰
