Got a XD9 SC years ago. I'm guessing back in 2009? 2010?. Has somewhere between 5-10k rounds through it. Haven't shot it for a few years till this past weekend. Noticed that it had a cracked locking block? (think that's what its called). Shot just fine, no issues over the past weekend.
Going down the google rabbit hole, appears to be a common issue. Question....
1: How bad is it if I don't get it fixed?
2: Will Springfield cover it under warranty? If not, how much am I expecting to pay?
Was hoping to find the part online, and try to fix it here at home. But no luck with finding the part. The other thought, throw it in the trash, and just go buy a mod3. I'm shocked at how cheap the mod3's are going for.
