Mine was 4 yrs old at the time. Traded in my 62 Comet (stick, 144 cu in stick) and $900-all the money in the free world it seemed. Two kids in high school had a newer car than mine-but both their Dad’s were car dealers

Bought a new 72 Mustang convertible in 71, in the BX in Vietnam. Took delivery at a dealership in Chicago when I got back several months later. Got the loan from Pentagon Federal Credit Union. The car cost me a little more than a new set of tires costs nowadays. That was about the best car I ever owned.
