Your very first loan...What was it for?

1971 Chevy Monte Carlo. Pops loaned me $700 to buy it. I sold my 55 PU that I had restored that I dropped a small block 350 into to repay him. I can kick myself in the huevos a million times over for selling that truck. I had a 56 2 door Bel Air I was restoring at the time and used the balance of the loot having the paint and chrome done. Sold that one too. F me in the ear. I had a 73 J40 Land Cruiser I totally decked out with 36s and a big block I sold. Again, huevo kick with a steel toed boot deserved. I have a 56 Caddy I fully restored. Dropped in a 500 CI 73 Eldorado engine and transmission. Fully bagged. $25,000 paint and lacquer job. I will NEVER sell this one.

Hi,

In 1975 I bought my first big boy amplifier. I took out a loan to buy a $600 Fender Bassman 100 with a huge 4x12 speaker cabinet. It didn't even fit in my car. Couldn't close the trunk, half of it hung out when it was loaded.

Thank you for your indulgence,

Your past history of possessing fine rides one minute then letting them go the next mirrors my past to a tee. What were we thinking?

A brand new straight off the showroom 1975 Pontiac Formula 400 dark blue/light blue interior auto. In 1975 I was an E-4 in the USCG living aboard my first ship at the time. Barely making the payments. A year later met my first wife couldn't manage newly married life and a child on the way...and you already know the rest of the story.
