How much larger is the circumference of the 226 vs 229, if you know?Going off my p226 (357sig) the single action is @ 4#14ozs and double @ 9#9ozs. I don't have the srt installed yet. Not sure if it'll even change pull weight as only make it shorter.

P226 grip is just longer.

Are you asking about slide/frame dimensions? How much larger is the circumference of the 226 vs 229, if you know?
No I think diameter of the widest part of the gripAre you asking about slide/frame dimensions?
The grips on the 229 and 226 Legion have a slightly different profile though and I often feel like my 226 grip is wider. That’s for SAO. It may be different in DA/SA.Pretty much the same.

I need to install the srt and check differences other than shorter reset.I'm pretty sure I've narrowed my search to one of the Sigs, 226/229. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and the knowledge I got on different manufacturers & on pistols I've never owned.

The P-229 Legion I'm looking at shows it has the SRT, plus the Grayguns P-SAIT trigger. it's also optics ready. So far the cheapest price I've found is $1300.00.I need to install the srt and check differences other than shorter reset.
When I bought the 226 it was $799 new.The P-229 Legion I'm looking at shows it has the SRT, plus the Grayguns P-SAIT trigger. it's also optics ready. So far the cheapest price I've found is $1300.00.

I checked this one out, its cheaper around $1100.00 but no bells & whistles., ie, optics ready & better trigger. I did go back & forth a little because it's probably a very good pistol. ThanksI’m a Sig 228 fan myself in Da/Sa . Now called the M11-A1. The original slim grip, full size carry pistol. Had mine 30+ yrs now.

I told my wife earlier today I wanted another pistol. She was not very pleased, mentioned I needed this like another hole somewhere in my lower body.
