On The Road……..

Somebody asked me awhile back if I carried a knife and honestly I never found a need to until now, I bought these about 4 years ago and boxed them away.

Now I think I’m going to carry one along with what else I carry.

They are Schrade knives and each one comes with a sharpening kit.

Up this morning at 6am my normal coffee time, went outside to start generator and literally came face to face with a Mule Dear, I slowly backed away and went back into my RV.

I was able to go back out a few minutes later and start my generator.

Update on my current location.
I’m in Montana just outside of Glacier National Park at Big Creek Campground.
I’ll be here for 5 months working as the campground Host/Manager. View attachment 56742

A knife, to me, is indispensable. And a good fixed blade and fire starter is just the ticket when one spends time in the places less civilized.

In town today to pick supplies and do laundry and while I’m sitting in my truck waiting on the wash cycle my truck is telling me that old RV saying is so true.
“Home is where you park it”

Having a blast hosting the campground and meeting some great people.
Two families in RV’s arrived yesterday from Kentucky. Small world.

So this showed up today, they didn’t end up staying overnight but they let me take a couple pictures.

Incredible machine.
6.6 Inline 6 cylinder Cat motor.
He bought the cab/frame army surplus and built the rest himself.

That looks like a serious off-the-grid machine, real survivalist stuff. Impressive.

I have driven a semi and I wouldn't want to drive that top rig with the boat towed behind.
