problem is, so many get into thier car, and drive stoned...so then...what's worse a stone driver, or a drunk driver...????
More propaganda mostly by older people who grew up in the age of anti pot rhetoric and stereotypes
- Being on common (and perfectly legal) prescription pills and driving is much more dangerous than smoking a joint and drinking.
- Working a 12 hour shift and driving home or not getting a full night's rest, both of which is perfectly legal and social acceptable) is much more dangerous than smoking a joint.
- Texting, talking on the phone, or messing with the car radio or GPS while driving is much more dangerous than smoking a joint and getting behind the wheel.
- Being distracted by a car full of children or a baby while driving is statistically more dangerous.
- Driving while being the age of some of the members of this forum and older people in general causes slower reaction times and a higher risk of being in an accident than younger people smoking a joint and driving.
- Driving while under the age of 25 isn't as much of a risk as someone 25 and older smoking a joint before driving.
This all seems like selective outrage based off of years of being groomed and indoctrinated. When critical thinking, objective thoughts, common sense, and perspective is applied to the topic, the smoking or ingestion of a plant flower isn't a huge deal or much.
It makes no sense what's so ever for weed to be as taboo and illegal as it is while alcohol is perfectly legal and acceptable when taking into account all the deaths, domestic abuse, sexual assaults, vehicular homicides, health risk, havock, etc., etc., that's caused by alcohol. Those who are anti marijuana but are pro or indifferent about alcohol are outright hypocrites, IMHO. There are a plethora of worse things one can and does do on a daily basis that's worse health wise and more deadly than M.J.
So no one assumes otherwise, no, I don't smoke weed or even like the smell. I'm just a realist, critical thinker, and a libertarian.
