Springfield Saint Pistol muzzle blast deflector removal

Get a reaction rod and it will come off easily. if it's on real tight you could spin the barrel a little and break the barrel stud. but i have removed some stubborn ones by inserting a mag and lay it flat over a workbench and turn the mag where it will keep it from turning when you apply the wrench and use a long wrench. but a reaction rod will eliminate all that.

I had that problem with my Kuna. After letting some oil soak into the seam where flash suppressor meets barrel for about an hour, I slid a solid size screwdriver between slots in flash suppressor and gave it all I had for about 30 seconds until it popped loose. And it REALLY popped! Held gun between my legs to brace it. I had to research on the internet to figure that out after two days of trying 😞.

Actually thinking about it again, I kneeled on the gun while gun on kitchen chair to use body weight to keep gun in place. I just yesterday bought a portable vice from Amazon to work on a similar problem with a suppressor. Seems like it will much easier than body weight 😂. No idea why these companies think they have to over torque everything.

Thread 'Springfield Saint Victor 7.5 w/suppressor?'

First, hello to everyone, I just joined today.
Second, I just bought a Springfield Armory Saint Victor with 7.5” barrel (semi-auto pistol). I have a friend that let me fire his and it was love. But it was LOUD! Suppressors are legal in Texas and I know about the tax stamp, ATF 4473, and the long wait.
So my question is, does any have this set-up? Did you have to make any special changes/modifications?
Any useful input is appreciated...

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a 'reaction rod?'
