Grip tape

Hi,

Has anyone ever tried grip tape I watched a few you tube videos on it they it gives you a whole of grip

Use it only of you feel you need it to help your grip. Lots of folks do. I think most don't. I don't. The Talon Grip kits are industry standard and have textures from rubbery to sand paper. After you've worked with your Hellcat a few times you'll figure out whether or not you need it.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I’m about to add some to tame a new grip while I break it in.

My hands after three sessions this week with an MPA DS9 aggressive grip and very soft/low power 9mm in a 52 oz comped gun:

I put a Talon grip on my Masada Slim, but only because I wanted the grip to be just a tad wider. The Shield .45 had a really aggressive grip so I knocked the rough edges down with some emory cloth.

We use to buy skateboard tape by the rolls for the 90’s USPSA game. And it wasn’t to expensive still have a roll somewhere.

I usually put a strip on the front strap or my handguns . And it wasn’t to expensive east to replace I shot a few times a month to include a match or two and it usually lasted me all year before I had to replace it give or take a month here and there sometimes.

The issue with intertwines was I didn’t care for Irma’s it wasn’t frilly but the bigger reason is withjn little use of hot sweaty days some folks had issues with it riding up iver the mag release and interfering. If you didn’t have that issue good for hih but I witnessed gaht happen several times.

Like the Hogue or similar slip one before they built in the beavertail to try and minimize it.

Good luck

I like Tractiongrip. They have it pre-cut for a 1911 and others AND it come in multiple colors and either grit or rubber.

I have the grey grit tractiongrip tape on my Ronin and it blends with the stainless frame nicely.

Here is a post from a couple of weeks ago that has good info and some photos.
