Update….. had bunch of tests, MRI, cat scans, bone scan, what ever the mass is, it has NOT spread anywhere else. I’ll be getting surgery real soon in Pittsburgh at AGH, if they take my insurance. Got my fingers crossed. I did get to come home for a bit now.

Make sure you DON'T check the "gender reassignment" box on the surgery release form if they dope you up before they give you the form to fill out & sign.

and make sure to get someone at the hospital to draw a big X on your back over the kidney that's coming out! Usually the doc who is doing the surgery will do that while you're still awake, but leave nothing to chance!
