In a World of Compacts, Is it Bad my EDC is a Full Size?

Heck we are all adults, and all have experiences/opinions that form our choices. Whatever works for the individual. Hell it would not be "bad" if your CC was a Smith 500, if you can pull it off.

My biggest handguns, non hunting, were a 3 inch Charter Arms Bulldog old version, and a Lightweight Commander, both were carried at various times during colder cover garment weather. Since getting rid of everything 4*, everything is now compact or smaller. My two largest carry would be a Smith Model 60 3 inch and P365Xl. Things evolve as we get older, i prefer less weight on the belt, and i do not feel any less well armed than I did in my youth. They fit my current life style and normal AO.

This is so true.

I used to carry Gov’t 1911’s, or a Glock 21 or 17, or a full-size USP either OWB or IWB…

I’ve switched now to, mainly, J-frames in the pocket, or a Sig P238 in the pocket (or both)…occasionally carry a full/mid sized pistol, like yesterday when I met someone for a face to face gun deal…the 3” 686+ came along in a shoulder holster, with the 632UC in the pocket.

But I doubt that I’ll find need to carry the heavy metal again for quite some time…

Smart. I did the similar two days ago when we went to Detroit for an appt. Carried the p365xl OWB and the Taurus 380 revolver in my hip pocket partially to arm wife if needs being.

Heading out the door to my local country Floyd the Barber i have the .380 in my hip pocket like most of the time.

If I'm not wearing a suit to court, I'm in flip-flops and shorts. Rarely wear jeans anymore.

I used to carry a full size 1911, then a Commander, then a G22, now almost exclusively a Colt Agent 6-shot 38S. My lifestyle doesn't dictate anything larger, or for that matter heavier.

I avoid crowds, shop at random places and times so as to not be patterned and basically operate at condition yellow every single day of my life.

The wheel gun works just fine for me, day in, day out.
