President Trump Reportedly Set to Accept Boeing 747-8 Gift From Qatar

Yup. Post Gulf War I was assigned with a man who was the ops officer of one of the 105mm M1 battalions. He told me after the cease fire they towed three relatively intact T-72s at 1000m, 2000m and 3000m from the M1 and all presenting the front slope. At 1000m the 105 had an in-out; through the front slope and out the back. At 2000m and 3000, the 105 achieved penetration of the front slope with no problem. The advantage of keeping the 105 for decades is we only had to improve the ammo. A far cheaper solution.
Yea, and the Ukrainians found out the old Leopard 1s' 105 could easily take out the lastest that the Russkies have thrown at them.

Qatar is a country that's previously supported Hamas and terrorism.

Nah, no issues here. Just wondering what kind of explosives the airframe is made from.

technically (legally?) it goes to the air force, work by L3harris. Wonder why Boeing needed so long to get a new one done.

In my opinion: Because they underbid ( probably for the prestige) and thought they could re-negotiate the fixed contract under a friendlier administration. When they decided that they were losing money the new plane was put on the back burner for more lucrative orders.
