So I had my first experience working with 1911 grip bushings today. I had one particular bushing that I could not for the life of me remove successfully. Enter the Challis Bushing Extractor Tool. This brilliant little wonder could have saved me hours of fiddling with a warped bushing trying to remove the thing had I bought it weeks earlier. But alas, we live and we learn. The long and short of it is I finally was able to install some killer new grips on my Taurus PT1911 Commander in 45acp making it look worlds better if you ask me. Any thoughts on similar experiences? I'd be interested in hearing some other horror stories working with grip bushings. Happy Shooting !!

Picked up the Operator as a Christmas gift to myself. Came with the gear up pack and got it for a killer deal.
I'm very happy with it so far.

I didn';t even know Taurus made a 1911

I didn't either. Until last Summer. Which is when I first got into handguns. It was my second handgun purchase ever and I thought I did pretty good. 600 rounds or so and zero malfunctions with mostly fmj's. It was a bargain so, I grabbed it. Past lawsuits notwithstanding.
