Never fear - the guy who posts too many words is here to help! :ROFLMAO: 😅:p

In addition to what Annihilator wrote, there's also:

(W)W(O)ROL ~ (World) Without Rule of Law - sometimes what's in parentheses gets left out.
TEOTWAWKI ~ The End of The World as We Know It.
NBC ~ Nuclear/Biological/Chemical

Not to be confused with: https://wrolradio.com/ ;)

Mortal Engines is about cities that are always moving, the cities fight each other at times.
Soylent Green is in the future where we are running out of food to fed the people, so the government introduces soylent green, which we find out is made of people.
Twelve Monkeys is about Bruce Willis goes back in time to try to find out how the earth almost ended with, if I remember right, a plague.
Independence Day is about aliens coming to earth to invade it.
Damnation Alley
Knocked off its axis in World War III, the Earth is in meteorological chaos. A group of survivors must cross the desert while freak storms and giant, mutated killer insects prey on them.

Two Tom Cruise movies “Oblivion” & “Edge of Tomorrow“ aka “Live, Die, Repeat” Oblivion is set in the future and after an alien war “a repairman“ (Cruise) working for the aliens, comes across survivors that are being pursued by killer robots deployed by the aliens. Cruise eventually joins the survivors as they try to take back the Earth. Edge of Tomorrow, is also about a war with aliens which the humans seem to be losing. Cruise as as reluctant soldier, is killed by a “Special” killer robot as he blows himself & the robot up. This causes him to relive each day anew with only him remembering what has happened. As he relives each day of the battle, he slowly learns to get further and further before being killed and starting over from the beginning. He teams up with another soldier (Emily Blunt), who believes his story about repeating each day if killed & together, they search out to try and kill the “Mother” alien to save the world. They were both pretty good movies.
