    Henry's New 9mm Carbine

I've been impressed with the Henry produced AR7 models. I bought my Henry AR7 almost a decade ago. My AR7 hasn't seen a whole lot of use because it's just a fun plinker and boat gun that I keep for trips to the family land. It has fired approximately 2,000-2,500 rounds without any significant...

    Henry's New 9mm Carbine

I almost made it through all of this year's SHOT Show articles without seeing anything that I absolutely had to put on my wishlist. I've been busy at work, so I haven't been able to read too many articles over the past few weeks. I just saw this one about the new Henry 9mm Homesteader Carbine...

    Beretta 92 FS stainless steel

I wanted a stainless Beretta 92 for years. I finally bought one in January. Like you, I've been planning to downsize my 9mm collection. I bought the Beretta because I have developed a fondness for metal-framed pistols over the past few years. A good number of my polymer 9mm pistols will...

    Armscor/RIA VRF-14

You would be correct. That particular build was returned to the original manufacturer's configuration pending the outcome of litigation. I do not believe the new interpretation will withstand legal scrutiny, but an ounce of prevention ...

    Another again…….

I've been following this horrific story. I have found multiple sources stating that witnesses described the gun as a "machine-gun". What I haven't found is a single story listing a description of the suspect. If the media had any interest in stopping "gun crime" they would make at least some...

    The MCP35 PI – A Baby Hi-Power

I like the concept of a compact BHP, but $630 is more than I paid for the SA35. I know that almost no guns ever sell for full msrp, but I'm not sure the Girsan will make it into my "Turkish Clone" price range. I have no problem paying a fair price for quality guns. Even though I have actually...

    The MCP35 PI – A Baby Hi-Power

This gun has my attention. Guns from Turkish companies aren't usually high on my list, but they move up a lot when they are the only ones producing a type/model that interests me. I may very well buy a PI (if the price is right).

    Return of the Cheetah

Beretta recently announced that they will be re-vamping the old .380 ACP Cheetah line of pistols. I've been wanting a Beretta 84 for years. Since a new Beretta wasn't an option, I picked up a Tisas Fatih 13 clone of the 84. The Tisas has been a great gun, and it made me want an original 84...

    rossi...........handgun

Depending on price, I'd be interested in either the 3" or 4" models. If I remember correctly, Rossi is owned by Taurus. I'm willing to take a chance on a new Rossi, but only if they are closer to the Taurus price range that they are to Ruger or S&W.

    My Other .45 (SIG 220)

I own a P365, a P226 Nitron .40 S&W, and a P238 Legion. There are a few more Sigs that I'd like to add to my collection, but all of the models I want will require a bit of saving on my part.

Critics lose their minds over NRA's Christmas post

I shouldn't be, but I'm honestly surprised that the twits who reacted to the NRA Christmas message still don't understand that the NRA (or the gun community as a whole) doesn't care if they are offended. I'm fairly certain that I would not like any holiday tweet from the Nazi Party, but I'm...

    Revolvers

Neither of these are my EDC, but I have been known throw the S&W 351PD or 351C in my pocket when exercising outdoors. I figure that 7 rounds of .22 Magnum is enough to neutralize almost any threat I'm likely to encounter, and they weigh so little that I hardly know I'm carrying one.

    Thoughts on the Ruger Security-380?

I enjoy shooting guns chambered in .380 ACP, and currently carry a Ruger LCP Max as my backup/pocket gun. As a Ruger fan who likes .380 ACP guns, I feel like I'm supposed to be excited about the new Security-380. The gun has some features that I like (fiber-optic front sight, low MSRP), but it...

    A New Gun Finally

I picked up an FDE 5" M&P 2.0 when I found it on a deep sale last year. After shooting my 5" 2.0, I'm convinced that the M&P line are some of the most underrated guns on the market. Straight out of the box it was the most accurate 9mm I have ever fired. I would have preferred for it to have...

WWE Hall of Famer ‘Takes Down’ Home Intruder, Holds Him With .44 Mag

A true feel good story. I've never been a big WWF/WWE fan, but I've been a "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan fan for years. I went to law school at SMU and my office is decorated with SMU football memorabilia. One of the centerpieces in my office is a Jim Duggan autographed football. It's even signed as...

Considering the Springfield Armory 1911 Pistols

I'm not a huge 1911 fanboy, but I do own a couple. The Garrison will be my next 1911 purchase. I have admired many of the fancier 1911's, and consider some of them to be works of art, but I'm a fairly simple shooter. An extended beavertail and decent sights is all I need to be happy.

    Lots and lots of ammo

The shelves at my local Academy are overflowing with ammo. Unfortunately, Academy is still asking shortage-era prices. I'm honestly surprised that the prices haven't come down. My sons are both student athletes, and I am a middle school coach, so I visit Academy fairly often. I always see...

Do You Avoid Places Where You Are Not Permitted To Carry A Firearm?

I avoid doing business with any company that either prohibits or attempts to prohibit the lawful carry of firearms, regardless of the legality of their posted signs or stickers. I am fortunate to have the benefit of LEOSA protection, but that does not mean that I am unconcerned about...

My Cheap Gun Addiction Strikes Again

I have an SD40VE as well (I told you it was an addiction). The SD is not a "bad" gun, but it is the only gun that I have ever had to modify the trigger to shoot accurately. I love that gun, but it was a bit frustrating before I installed the Apex Trigger. It is still one of my favorite range...

My Cheap Gun Addiction Strikes Again

I also picked up two Hi-Points (.40 S&W and .45 ACP) around 2012 when I found them at my LGS for $99 each. They are clunky and ugly, but they go bang every time. They didn't necessarily make me into a Hi-Point fan, but I've got to give credit where credit is due.
