
Major Doug Hanson is a retired Armor Officer and is a combat veteran of the Persian Gulf War. His assignments included tours of duty in Germany, the Pacific, and a joint assignment with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps at the Amphibious Base Coronado, CA. He continued to serve our country as a civilian in operational and intelligence positions in the U.S. and overseas including Bosnia, Eurasia and the Mid-East. His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal, and the Department of Defense Special Act Award. His previous articles have been published in the Washington Times, Real Clear Politics, and The American Thinker. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, he and his family now reside in Texas and Arizona.
